Hi, my name is Arunjot (AJ), I’m from India and I’m a student in the Event Management Program at Algonquin College. Before this course and raising money for the Children’s Wish Foundation, I was working as a sales supervisor. I would like to become a wedding planner in the future. I’m fond of playing games like volleyball, cricket, badminton and staying fit.

Hi! I'm Roxy and I'd love to tell you a bit more about myself. I'm a creative girl with too much energy and a permanent smile on my face. I love singing even if I'm out of tune. Yoga is my activity of choice and the best way I know to unwind. My heart belongs in the world of weddings. I plan to be a wedding planner in the future because every couple is a wonderful love story, which makes me deeply moved. I would love to create an unforgettable memory for them in the best moments of their life.
Clairalene Maxis (Claire)
My name is Claire, short for Clairalene Maxis. I am the marketing manager of our event team. I also have an Executive Administrator background. I am very down to earth and love what I do. Making people’s moments or events special is not only a career choice but it is a lifestyle for me. I am very proud to be a part of such a strong team.
Eki Jenifer Omoruyi
Hi, my name is Eki Omoruyi, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, and I’m currently in the events management postgraduate program at Algonquin College. I speak two languages and have a background in marketing and sales. My strengths are empathy, strategic thinking, and input. Working with a group of competent event planners to create an amazing event and raise money for the Children’s Wish Foundation.
Carrie Plain
Hey, my name is Carrie and I’m originally from Sarnia, ON. I have a Recreation and Leisure Services background which I graduated from in 2017. I also have a music background and currently play guitar, ukulele, and alto saxophone. In my spare time I enjoy paddle boarding along the canal and hanging out with my 2 little bunnies.
Liisa St-Aubin
With over ten years of Public Relations and Events experience, I bring a unique set of skills to the proverbial drafting table. From my days as a show-hopping art kid to coordinating documentaries, I have been immersed in every aspect of event management. I still tap into my artistic side, spending my free time painting and glittering dinosaurs. I am a proud sponsor of Watson and Sherlock, two residents at the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada.
Rebecca Vanderhooft
I’m Rebecca, I’m 27 and a future event planner. Before changing fields, I worked administration where I discovered my passion for event planning. My goal is to open my own event company and hopefully move to New York. Working with the Children’s Wish Foundation to help make a child’s wish come true is very dear to me; my sister is a cancer survivor and people don’t realize just how much the wish can lift their spirits. I’m extremely proud of the team I’m working with; everyone works hard, has great ideas and is fun to be around.
